To be honest, I hadn’t really thought of travelling to South Australia. Of course I wanted to go diving with the sharks at Port Lincoln, visit the Barossa and Flinders Rangers, but I didn’t really know too much about this fabulous state. One thing I can say now is that South Australia has taken a little piece of my heart. Since arriving in this gorgeous State, we have been greeted with lots of friendly faces, and the people and the scenery perfectly match each other. I feel that when driving along the gorgeous rolling hills, they too are smiling back at us.

We have only seen a small portion of South Australia, and I must say, I clearly recommend this place for a visit. You can fly straight into Adelaide, hire a car/motorhome and the distances between towns is so small you could see lots in a one or two week holiday. We have visited the east side of Adelaide (Clare, Nuriootpa, Adelaide, McLaren Vale, Victor Harbor, Murray Bridge, Barmera, Berri & Robe), we will return next year to do the Port Lincoln side and the rest of the State that we have missed.

The landscapes around are just divine, the food is impeccable and each little town has amazing produce, farmer’s markets, butchers & deli’s, I know that all my food friends out there would fall in love with this area just as I have. South Australia is also home to many beautiful beaches, even if a lot of them are classed ‘unswimmable’ due to the sharks in the area, to look over the ocean and see crystal blue water is just amazing.

I won’t be surprised if Corey and I end up living around here for a while at some point in our life, but until we have the baby, we will just keep our plans simple.

I hope you enjoy some of the photos, if you have visited an area in South Australia that you love, please leave a comment!  We love to get other ideas and suggestions of places to go from fellow travellers.
