Who is ‘The Blonde Nomad’?

Hi, I am Kellie.  I am Mother to Zac {6} & Brett {1}, and Wife to Corey.  In 2013 after certain events in our life we embarked on our trip of a lifetime – TRAVELLING AROUND AUSTRALIA!  As we are both still in our early thirties, we don’t fit into the usual demographic of ‘grey nomads’ so ‘The Blonde Nomad’ was born.

We left our hometown of Charters Towers and made our way around the beautiful country we call home.  This blog is an opportunity for me to share our experiences, both good and bad!  Our ups and downs, problems that we have encountered, and also the wonderful people we have met along the way.

In 2014 we were announced as Dometic Waeco Follow The Sun Ambassadors and were given a wonderful opportunity to promote a great brand on an all expense paid three month road trip, this was a highlight on our travels.  Throughout our travels on the road I have had articles published in the popular Caravan & Motorhome On Tour Magazine.

In 2015 we decided to stop our full time travels and call Townsville (North Queensland) home for a while.  Our sense of adventure will never fade and we use every opportunity to travel whenever we can, continuing to share our story on social media and via this blog.  We love working with travel industry companies to help promote local tourism and assist in marketing the Australian Tourism Industry (please get in contact with us if we can help).

I find that the best way to learn is through experience, so if you have any stories you would like to share, please email me theblondenomad13@gmail.com.

For live updates of our travels and ‘all the other crazy stuff’ follow us on Facebook/theblondenomad and Instagram/tbnomad.

We hope that you enjoy our adventures as much as we love making them!

Do it!!!! Once you’ve taken the plunge (as scary as it can be), you won’t look back! Good luck with it all, we will be pulling up for a few months over Christmas while we have the baby and order a bigger van 😉
